U.S.S. Mohawk & CGC Memorial Museum

Built in 1934 for the coast guard, the U.S.S. Mohawk is 165' in length & served in WWII and helped win the "Battle of the Atlantic". This is the last remaining ship of her kind that is still fully operational. It gives you a unique opportunity to share in Key West's rich maritime history. Soon she will be joined by President Harry S. Truman's 35' Captains gig used while he was on vacation here - built of wood in 1934 she housed quarters for the president, secret service & navy crew.
