This group of islands is the largest and least developed of the Florida Keys. Here the pace is a little slower and quieter with some good happy hours but not much in the way of music. However, there are some unusual places that will entertain - a pub where its walls and ceiling are covered in autographed dollar bills, a bar complete with a miniature golf course and a few locals places on the water that are tucked away on back roads but worth the trouble to find.

Boondocks Grille & Draft House
27205 Overseas Highway (MM27.2), Summerland Key
A different type of place that you won’t find any place else in the Florida Keys, a bar & grill along with a miniature golf course. Who’d have thunk it? Enjoy a round of golf and then sample their happy hour specials from 4PM-6PM Monday-Friday. Their offerings include  1/2 priced appetizers, $1 off House wines & domestic beers and $3 well drinks.

Looe Key Tiki Bar & Grill
27340 Overseas Highway (MM27.3), Ramrod Key
After a day diving, this open-air tiki hut is a great place to just unwind and enjoy a little slice of paradise. Happy hour runs daily from 4PM-7PM and live music plays every night from either 6PM-10Pm or 7PM-11PM.

No Name Pub
30813 North Watson Boulevard (off Key Deer Boulevard around MM30)
A little history… it all started back in 1931 when the owners of a general store and tackle shop had to add on an eatery in an effort to attract more business. This eatery was dubbed The Pub.  In the 1950’s, they closed all but the Pub and added No Name to the title and it has been that way ever since. Stop in and have a few cold ones, play a little pool and take a look at all the dollar bills hanging on the walls and ceiling (this started back in the 70’s & 80’s when there was a lot of illegal money passing through the Keys- they had so much they started hanging it on the walls) and just sit back and enjoy the atmosphere. And don’t forget to deface a dollar and staple it to the wall and be part of history. It is hard to find but just keep looking and please remember to drive slowly as the key deer roam the area quite freely.

Golden Margarita
31044 Avenue B (MM31)
A classic Mexican restaurant with a daily happy hour from 4PM-6:30PM featuring $2.99 margaritas, $1.87 drafts, $2.25 well drinks, $1.50 chili dogs, $.59 wings & mozzarella cheese sticks and $1 tacos.

Geiger Key Marina & Smokehouse
5 Geiger Road (MM10), Big Coppitt Key
Known as the restaurant and marina that are “on the back side of paradise”, you will find this bar and deck to be both welcoming and laid back. A true hidden gem, secluded from the main road, and set on what was once the original Overseas Highway. So come by boat or by car and grab a seat on the deck where you will have a ringside seat for the spectacular evening sunset. And on the weekends they add in a little live music for your enjoyment.  And don’t miss their famous Sunday BBQ from 4PM-9Pm featuring “Slap Your Mama” Smoked Ribs, BBQ Chicken, Grilled Shrimp & Mahi accompanied by cornbread, fresh slaw, wild rice and Carolina baked beans. It may be a little hard to find but it is well worth the effort.
